Orr Viznitser: Israel and LGBTQ+

Listen and Learn from Orr Viznitser, Israeli Fellow at the University of Michigan. 

Orr will be talking and answering questions regarding what she did while she lived in Jerusalem. She was involved in Jerusalem Open House, an LGBTQ+ center, and Yerushad’im, a feminist social initiative.

Orr is a born and raised Israeli. When in Israel, she is tour educator, with experience and interests in urban tours, social justice issues, Israel and world Jewry relations, LGBTQ+ community, and Jewish educational programs, (e.g.: ‘Birthright Israel’ and the March of the Living).  Alongside her career, she was involved with several social initiatives and organizations such as the Jerusalem Open House for Pride and Tolerance and a ‘Jerusalem New Spirit’ women initiative called ‘Yerushada’im.’ Currently, Orr lives in Ann Arbor as she is the current Jewish Agency Israel Fellow to the University of Michigan Hillel
