Academic Search Complete: Offers a large collection of full-text journals, including peer-reviewed full text for STEM research, as well as for the social sciences and humanities. Scholarly content covers a broad range of important areas of academic study, including anthropology, engineering, law, sciences and more.
Agricola: Citations about all aspects of agriculture and related fields. Includes: journal articles, monographs, proceedings, theses, patents, translations, audiovisual materials, computer software, and technical reports. Coverage: 1970 - current.
Alt Health Watch: Provides information on complementary, holistic, and integrated approaches to healthcare and wellness. Sources include journals (some peer-reviewed) and reports.
America: History and Life: America: History and Life is one of the most important databases for students of United States and Canadian history. This database is an index of literature concerning the history and culture of the U.S. and Canada from prehistory to the present. It primarily consists of indexing for 1,700 journals as far back as 1910, but also includes citations for books and media reviews. Indexed sources are predominantly written in English, but America: History and Life also contains English-language abstracts of content written in other languages.
American Chemical Society Publications: The American Chemical Society (ACS) Publications include over 40 full-text, peer-reviewed journals published by the American Chemical Society, covering the chemical and related sciences. Journal titles include ACS Nano, Biochemistry, and Journal of Medicinal Chemistry. The ACS also publishes Chemical & Engineering News, ACS Legacy Archives, and the ACS Symposium Series.
Applied Science & Technology Source: Broad coverage of research and development within the applied sciences and computing disciplines. Content derives from leading trade journals, professional and technical society publications, and conference proceedings.
Art & Architecture Source: Covers fine, decorative, and commercial arts. Also covers architecture and architectural design. Features full text articles and indexing and abstracts for journals, books, podcasts, and more. Art Source includes periodicals published in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Dutch. For use by art scholars, artists, designers, students, and general researchers.
ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials: ATLA (American Theological Library Association) Religion Database with ATLASerials is an important resource to students of religion and theology. It indexes journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays. Of the articles, reviews and essays it indexes, close to half of them (over 280,000) are available in full text.
Biography Reference Center: Biography Reference Center This link opens in a new window More than 450,000 biographies. Includes complete full text run of Biography Today and Biography Magazine as well as thousands of narrative biographies.
Biological Abstracts: Biological Abstracts is an expansive index of journal literature in the life sciences. It covers a wide range of topics from botany to microbiology to pharmacology. In addition to keyword searching, this index is also searchable using BIOSIS indexing, MESH terms, and CAS registry numbers. Sources are primarily English-language, but a number of non-English sources are indexed and include English-language abstracts.
Caribbean Search: In-depth, full text information about the countries and people of the Caribbean.
Central & Eastern European Academic Source: Information on a variety of topics of importance to researchers of Central and Eastern Europe. Includes resources on history, business, and law in a number of European languages.
Checkpoint Tax Research Platform: RIA's Checkpoint Tax Research Platform is an online database of tax and accounting information. The Checkpoint research system offers fast, effective ways to find answers to research questions concerning local, state, federal and international tax; accounting, auditing and corporate finance; estate planning; payroll; pension and benefits. Content is updated frequently to reflect changes in tax law, best practices, etc.
Consumer Health Complete: Supports the health and wellness information needs of patients. Covers mainstream medicine as well as complementary and holistic medicine.
Credo Reference: Credo Reference is a full-text online reference service. The collection includes over three million entries from hundreds of well-regarded titles. Credo’s collection is integrated with millions of cross-references and contains dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries, thesauri, encyclopedias, quotations and atlases, plus a wide range of subject-specific titles.

ERIC (Education Resources Information Center): ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center), the premier database for educational research, is sponsored by The U.S. Department of Education. ERIC provides coverage of journal articles, conferences, meetings, government documents, theses, dissertations, reports, audiovisual media, bibliographies, directories, books and monographs related to all aspects of education, from early childhood through higher education. Coverage extends from 1966 to the present, and content is updated monthly. ERIC provides indexing and abstracting for all sources and links to full-text for a lesser portion.

Gun Regulation and Legislation in America: In the wake of several of the deadliest mass shootings in United States history, HeinOnline is offering this new collection of materials free of charge to U.S. Core subscribers, academics, and other institutional libraries in order to provide a platform for research and promote civil discourse on the myriad issues related to gun regulation. The goal is to help facilitate productive discussions and help to bring all sides of this argument together to effect positive change and prevent more senseless loss of life.
Health & Medicine Research Library: The Health & Medicine Module is a subset of the ProQuest Research Library. It contains those titles that are relevant to students in the health sciences. Areas of medicine covered include medical science, nursing, allied health, public health, and pharmacology.

Historical Abstracts: Historical Abstracts is an excellent resource for students of history. This database focuses on the history of the world (excluding the U.S. and Canada) from 1450 to the present. Historical Abstracts provides indexing of more than 3,100 academic historical journals in over 40 languages back to 1955 and covers world history, military history, women's history, history of education, and more
History Reference Center: Documents, photos, maps, film, and video from leading history journals. Also includes biographies of historical figures.
History Research Library: The History Module is a subset of the ProQuest Research Library. It contains a selection of titles relevant to students of history. Topics include U.S. and world history, military history, world civilizations, and more.
Ingenta: Ingenta is an index of over 13,000 periodical publications from more than 250 publishers in a wide range of disciplines. Only a very limited number are available in full-text.
IOPscience (Institute of Physics): IOPscience is a useful resource for students in the sciences. This site provides full-text access to all journals published by the Institute of Physics. In addition, users have access to a range of community websites, magazines, conference proceedings and a multitude of electronic services.
JSTOR: JSTOR is a database of thousands of academic journals, letters, and primary sources, covering the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Journals are indexed from Volume 1, Issue 1 to present. Articles are full-text searchable and include high-quality images. JSTOR is a great resource for students of anthropology, French, German, history, mathematics, and more. MasterFILE Complete: Broad collection of popular full-text magazines and reference books. Contains Consumer Reports. Covers subjects including: business, health, education, fitness, sports and leisure, personal finance, general science, multicultural issues, DIY, and fashion. Also includes photos, maps, and flags.
Masterplots: Masterplots provides electronic access to the 12-volume 4th edition of this classic literature reference resource. It contains over 2,200 essays, which provide fundamental reference data (main characters, year of publication, etc.), plot synopses where applicable, and critical evaluations of a comprehensive selection of English-language and world literature that has been translated into English. Additionally, Masterplots provides a list of "Further Readings" recommendations for critical books and articles relevant to a more complete understanding of the work.
Medline: MEDLINE is an excellent resource for students studying biology and medicine. It is large database providing indexing of over 19,000 journals covering all aspects of medicine, including dentistry, nursing, nutrition, psychiatry, and toxicology. Indexing is available from the 1950s to present, and content is updated daily.
Michigan History Magazine: A popular history magazine geared toward professionals and enthusiasts alike, Michigan History offers a wide variety of subject matter, time frames, and perspectives while inspiring, educating, and entertaining its readers.
Newspaper Source Plus: Includes millions of articles from newspapers, newswires, and news magazines. Offers television and radio transcripts and ongoing daily updates from popular news sources. Primary full coverage newspapers are The Washington Post and USA Today.

Nursing and Allied Health Database: Nursing and allied health - journal articles, books, videos, dissertations, etc. Deals with journals that are sometimes less technical that medical journals and may be more suitable for undergraduates.
NYTimes.com: Free electronic access to the New York Times is now available to all members of the Alma College community through a newly established academic site license. This license grants full access to all New York Times articles from the paperÃƒÂ¢Ã¯Â¿Â½Ã¯Â¿Â½s inception in 1851 and up to the current dayÃƒÂ¢Ã¯Â¿Â½Ã¯Â¿Â½s paper. Philosopher's Index: Philosopher's Index is a useful resource for students of philosophy. It is an index of journal articles (over 550 journals from more than 40 countries), books, book chapters such as contributions to an anthology, and book reviews in all areas of philosophy. Coverage extends back to 1940, and the included abstracts are written by the authors of each selection. SciFinder Scholar: SciFinder Scholar is the online interface to the references indexed by Chemical Abstracts Services since 1907. SciFinder includes coverage of the following databases:CAplus, MedLine, REGISTRY, CASREACT, CHEMCATS, & CHEMLIST. It includes information about substances, authors, companies, and topics. Statistical Insight: Statistical Insight is a resource that provides statistics concerning population, economic conditions, labor, health, education, natural resources, pollution, and many other topics. Statistics are drawn from tables found in hundreds of US government and business reports, from 1999 to the present.
STNeasy: STNEasy is a primary index to chemistry resources.

United Nations iLibrary: The United Nations?iLibrary?is the comprehensive global search, discovery, and viewing source for digital content created by the United Nations.?Initially launched in 2015, the UN iLibrary was updated in December 2020 to incorporate new features such as an interface in all six official UN languages and a search feature by Sustainable Development Goals.

World War II History Archive: A large collection of primary documents from WWII including Presidential documents, planning materials, and other government documents.
WorldCat: WorldCat is a catalog of books and other media held by libraries and archives both in the U.S. and around the world. It contains millions of bibliographic records in hundreds of languages.
