IABI/INFORM Complete
ABI/INFORM is a collection of scholarly and trade publications in the field of business. This database includes dissertations, market and industry reports, business cases, and global and trade news, as well as scholarly and trade journal articles. ABI/INFORM features about 5,000 journals, and close to 4,000 of them are available in full text. This database is a useful resource for students of business, finance, economics, accounting, and management.

Offers a large collection of full-text journals, including peer-reviewed full text for STEM research, as well as for the social sciences and humanities. Scholarly content covers a broad range of important areas of academic study, including anthropology, engineering, law, sciences and more.

Citations about all aspects of agriculture and related fields. Includes: journal articles, monographs, proceedings, theses, patents, translations, audiovisual materials, computer software, and technical reports. Coverage: 1970 - current.
IAmerica: History and Life
America: History and Life is one of the most important databases for students of United States and Canadian history. This database is an index of literature concerning the history and culture of the U.S. and Canada from prehistory to the present. It primarily consists of indexing for 1,700 journals as far back as 1910, but also includes citations for books and media reviews. Indexed sources are predominantly written in English, but America: History and Life also contains English-language abstracts of content written in other languages.
IAmerican Chemical Society Publications
The American Chemical Society (ACS) Publications include over 40 full-text, peer-reviewed journals published by the American Chemical Society, covering the chemical and related sciences. Journal titles include ACS Nano, Biochemistry, and Journal of Medicinal Chemistry. The ACS also publishes Chemical & Engineering News, ACS Legacy Archives, and the ACS Symposium Series.

IATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials
ATLA (American Theological Library Association) Religion Database with ATLASerials is an important resource to students of religion and theology. It indexes journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays. Of the articles, reviews and essays it indexes, close to half of them (over 280,000) are available in full text.

IBiological Abstracts
Biological Abstracts is an expansive index of journal literature in the life sciences. It covers a wide range of topics from botany to microbiology to pharmacology. In addition to keyword searching, this index is also searchable using BIOSIS indexing, MESH terms, and CAS registry numbers. Sources are primarily English-language, but a number of non-English sources are indexed and include English-language abstracts.

Includes resources on history, business, and law in a number of European languages.
ICheckpoint Tax Research Platform
RIA's Checkpoint Tax Research Platform is an online database of tax and accounting information. The Checkpoint research system offers fast, effective ways to find answers to research questions concerning local, state, federal and international tax; accounting, auditing and corporate finance; estate planning; payroll; pension and benefits. Content is updated frequently to reflect changes in tax law, best practices, etc.
ICredo Reference
Credo Reference is a full-text online reference service. The collection includes over three million entries from hundreds of well-regarded titles. Credo’s collection is integrated with millions of cross-references and contains dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries, thesauri, encyclopedias, quotations and atlases, plus a wide range of subject-specific titles.
IDictionary of Literary Biography (DLB)
The Dictionary of Literary Biography (DLB) systematically presents career biographies and criticism of writers from all eras and all genres through volumes dedicated to specific types of literature and time periods. Here, it is searchable electronically through the Literature Resource Center.

Provides scholarly research for education students, professionals, and policy makers. Covers all levels of education from early childhood to higher education.
IERIC (Education Resources Information Center)
ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center), the premier database for educational research, is sponsored by The U.S. Department of Education. ERIC provides coverage of journal articles, conferences, meetings, government documents, theses, dissertations, reports, audiovisual media, bibliographies, directories, books and monographs related to all aspects of education, from early childhood through higher education. Coverage extends from 1966 to the present, and content is updated monthly. ERIC provides indexing and abstracting for all sources and links to full-text for a lesser portion.
IGun Regulation and Legislation in America
In the wake of several of the deadliest mass shootings in United States history, HeinOnline is offering this new collection of materials free of charge to U.S. Core subscribers, academics, and other institutional libraries in order to provide a platform for research and promote civil discourse on the myriad issues related to gun regulation. The goal is to help facilitate productive discussions and help to bring all sides of this argument together to effect positive change and prevent more senseless loss of life.

Historical Abstracts is an excellent resource for students of history. This database focuses on the history of the world (excluding the U.S. and Canada) from 1450 to the present. Historical Abstracts provides indexing of more than 3,100 academic historical journals in over 40 languages back to 1955 and covers world history, military history, women's history, history of education, and more

The History Module is a subset of the ProQuest Research Library. It contains a selection of titles relevant to students of history. Topics include U.S. and world history, military history, world civilizations, and more.
IICPSR (The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research)
An international consortium of more than 700 academic institutions and research organizations, ICPSR provides leadership and training in data access, curation, and methods of analysis for the social science research community. ICPSR maintains a data archive of more than 500,000 files of research in the social sciences. It hosts 16 specialized collections of data in education, aging, criminal justice, substance abuse, terrorism, and other fields.
IIngenta
Ingenta is an index of over 13,000 periodical publications from more than 250 publishers in a wide range of disciplines. Only a very limited number are available in full-text.
IIOPscience (Institute of Physics)
IOPscience is a useful resource for students in the sciences. This site provides full-text access to all journals published by the Institute of Physics. In addition, users have access to a range of community websites, magazines, conference proceedings and a multitude of electronic services.
IJSTOR
JSTOR is a database of thousands of academic journals, letters, and primary sources, covering the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Journals are indexed from Volume 1, Issue 1 to present. Articles are full-text searchable and include high-quality images. JSTOR is a great resource for students of anthropology, French, German, history, mathematics, and more. The Literature & Language Module is a subset of the ProQuest Research Library and contains materials relevant to the study of American and world literature, language, and linguistics.

Literature Resource Center provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. It covers more than 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,500 of the most-studied authors. Literature Resource Center provides access to over 850,000 full-text articles, critical essays and reviews from over 390 scholarly journals and literary magazines, more than 75,000 selected full-text critical essays and reviews, over 11,000 overviews of frequently studied works, more than 30,000 full-text poems, short stories and plays, and over 8,500 interviews.
IMasterplots
Masterplots provides electronic access to the 12-volume 4th edition of this classic literature reference resource. It contains over 2,200 essays, which provide fundamental reference data (main characters, year of publication, etc.), plot synopses where applicable, and critical evaluations of a comprehensive selection of English-language and world literature that has been translated into English. Additionally, Masterplots provides a list of "Further Readings" recommendations for critical books and articles relevant to a more complete understanding of the work.
IMedline
MEDLINE is an excellent resource for students studying biology and medicine. It is large database providing indexing of over 19,000 journals covering all aspects of medicine, including dentistry, nursing, nutrition, psychiatry, and toxicology. Indexing is available from the 1950s to present, and content is updated daily.
IMLA (Modern Language Association) International Bibliography
MLA Bibliography is published by the Modern Languages Association and is a subject index for books, articles and websites. Indexing dates back to 1923 and contains over 2 million citations from more than 4,400 periodicals (including peer-reviewed e-journals) and 1,000 book publishers. While the majority of records are from English-language publications, at least sixty other languages are represented including French, Spanish, German, Russian, Portuguese, Norwegian, and Swedish. MLA Bibliography covers topics including the history and theory of linguistics, comparative linguistics, semantics, syntax, teaching of language, literary theory and criticism, the dramatic arts (film, radio, television, theater), the history of printing and publishing, and rhetoric and composition.

Free electronic access to the New York Times is now available to all members of the Alma College community through a newly established academic site license. This license grants full access to all New York Times articles from the paper�s inception in 1851 and up to the current day�s paper. All content is searchable and the results may be narrowed by date, type, author and newspaper section. To begin using this valuable resource, you will first need to set up a personal account. You will then be able to access your account on or off campus, via desktop computers and/or mobile devices. Your initial authentication must be done while logged into the College network, either through a hardwired computer or the WiFi from an on-campus location. IPhilosopher's Index
Philosopher's Index is a useful resource for students of philosophy. It is an index of journal articles (over 550 journals from more than 40 countries), books, book chapters such as contributions to an anthology, and book reviews in all areas of philosophy. Coverage extends back to 1940, and the included abstracts are written by the authors of each selection. Philosopher's Index covers the areas of ethics, aesthetics, social philosophy, political philosophy, epistemology, and metaphysic logic as well as material on the philosophy of law, religion, science, history, education and language.
IProject Muse
Project Muse is a useful resource for students in the Humanities and Social Sciences. It is a collection of complete, full-text versions of scholarly journals from many of the world's leading university presses and scholarly societies, with over 120 publishers currently participating.

PsycARTICLES is a collection of full text articles from journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe & Huber. Most of the 63 APA journals included in PsycARTICLES now go back to volume 1, issue 1. The earliest journal is Psychological Review, which was started in 1894. The database also contains journals that are no longer published. SciFinder Scholar is the online interface to the references indexed by Chemical Abstracts Services since 1907. Users can search using a chemical structure, chemical reaction, research topic, or author information.
