Kiltie Bands & Percussion Ensemble Giving Circle
Dave Zerbe and John Wilson ’90 warmly invite alumni and friends of the Kiltie Bands and Percussion Ensemble to participate in an exciting new initiative.
The Kiltie Bands & Percussion Ensemble Giving Circle provides us with an opportunity to properly commemorate the remarkable history of the Kiltie Marching Band (which is nearing its 100th year) and Percussion Ensemble and to give back in a meaningful way to programs that played such an important role in our (and our loved ones’) college experience.
What is a Giving Circle?
Give Now
A giving circle is a group of volunteers who donate and pool funds to support a cause about which they are passionate. This engagement model empowers us to again synchronize our efforts — this time across all generations — to raise substantial resources for these ensembles.
In addition to strengthening our alumni base, the Giving Circle can help the Kiltie Bands and Percussion Ensemble in one or more of the following ways:
- Support student travel with the Kiltie Bands and Percussion Ensemble for competitions, performances and clinics around the state and country ($15,000)
- Update and augment the band instrument inventory, e.g. purchasing new wind instruments ($50,000)
- Update and augment the inventory of percussion instruments and equipment ($25,000)
- Bolster the growing color guard and winter guard program ($10,000)
Now it is my turn to give my support to the Kiltie Marching Band and the Percussion Ensemble. I hope you will join me in helping to bolster these groups with our donations by joining the Kiltie Bands & Percussion Ensemble Giving Circle. Go Scots!” - John Wilson ’90
