A giving circle is a group of volunteers that donate, raise, pool and grant funds together to directly and substantially support a cause about which they are passionate.
This engagement model empowers Alma College alumni, parents, and friends to raise and direct substantial resources to academic, performing arts or athletics program needs that they collectively deem to be most important and impactful.
In 2016, donors provided more than $60,000 for the Model United Nations program through the college’s first-ever giving circle. And in 2017, the Alma Choirs Giving Circle raised more than $81,000 for the choral music program. The Kiltie Bands & Percussion Ensemble Giving Circle inspired donors to contribute more than $89,000 in 2018, while the Football Lacrosse Locker Room Giving Circle raised an incredible $332,600 to transform the existing locker room to a state-of-the-art facility. Thank you, Scots!
