Science & Math Explorers Week
Students in grades 2-6 will have a chance to explore exciting topics in math, science and engineering in a day camp setting. The program includes a variety of hands on, student centered experiences where they will learn more about science, math, engineering and technology. Students also will have activity time, workshop time and guest speakers. Lunch and snacks are provided.
e-STEM Cooperative Research Experience (CORE)
CORE is a four-week program for middle and high school teachers and students. Each teacher may bring one student from his or her school. Each team, comprised of one teacher, one student, one Alma faculty member and one Alma student, will conduct side-by-side research using state of-the-art equipment in the college’s new Dow Digital Science Center. Room and board is provided. Applications for a teacher and a student must be submitted together.
Alma College’s math and science program provides a variety of research and leadership experiences for our students. The first chance you have to be a part of our strong science and math community is through our ASPIRE summer research experience! For one week you and other incoming Alma students will work alongside faculty, who will guide you through exciting research.
e-STEM Research Week
High school and middle school students will apply CORE standards and their knowledge of science and math while addressing real world issues. Each team will work alongside Alma College faculty and students as they complete a mini-project in a STEM discipline in laboratories on campus and in the field. The results of the projects will be presented at the close of the week. Room and board is provided.
