Admissions & Aid

Welcome, Finlandia Students

At Alma College, you’ll be at the center of everything — because that’s right where you belong.

Alma College is committed to helping Finlandia University students continue their college education and will provide as much assistance as possible to make the transition an easy process.

From financial aid and scholarship opportunities to accumulated credits and athletic accomplishments, at Alma College, there is no need to start over — we help create a sustainable plan for the remainder of your education. That’s why we’re offering eligible Finlandia University students the Alma-Finlandia Bridge Scholarship.

The Alma-Finlandia Bridge Scholarship covers full tuition and fees* and is renewable for up to three (3) years or until you graduate (whichever comes first).

Eligibility criteria for the Alma-Finlandia Bridge Scholarship includes:

  • Proof of enrollment at Finlandia University for the 2022-2023 academic year
  • Admission to Alma College by May 5, 2023
  • Paid enrollment deposit to Alma College by June 1, 2023

Find out how easy it is to complete your degree at Alma College by reading our transfer credit policy.

At Alma, you’ll experience an education tailored to you. Our admissions counselors will work directly with you to help you navigate the transfer process — from academic program planning to course registration. Our 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio means you’ll find dedicated mentors among our faculty. And, through the Transition Assistance Program, you’ll receive support from like-minded peers as you settle into your new home.

Plus, if you enroll at Alma College through the Alma-Finlandia Bridge Scholarship, you can earn $500 Munch Money when you refer one of your Finlandia University peers and they choose to enroll. Munch Money is accepted at all of our on-campus dining facilities and many off-campus locations.

At Alma, we’re here to help you take your next step with confidence. Visit our Transfer Credit Evaluation Tool for an estimate of transferable credits, or email Jacob McPhail, assistant director of transfer recruitment, at mcphailjp@alma.edu with any questions.

*Full tuition scholarship requires students to live on campus and does not cover costs for room and board. Scholarships for students who choose not to live on campus will be adjusted accordingly. Institutional Alma aid and State of Michigan aid is used towards full tuition whereas federal aid is applied towards room and board. Once we receive a 2023-2024 FAFSA our financial aid team will generate an official award offer reflective of your scholarships and remaining cost for Alma College.
