Transfer Open House 

You’ll learn what it’s like to transfer to Alma from students who transferred themselves. Whether you’re looking at transferring right away, or if you aren’t sure of your plans, we invite you to attend this event. At the Transfer Open House, you can: 

  • Take a campus tour.
  • Speak with faculty and various campus offices during break-out sessions.
  • Learn more about the transfer admissions process.
  • Participate in auditions or interviews.
  • Enjoy lunch in our dining hall.

Dive Deeper

Model UN Day

Develop your leadership and teamwork skills while exploring international issues. While on campus, you will also have the chance to eat lunch with current students and share in conversation about their experiences with the Model United Nations program.

Highland Arts Day

Join our highland arts staff and enjoy a day filled with workshops, a question and answer panel, an admissions overview, auditions (optional), and a campus tour. 

Alma College awards Scottish Arts Scholarships to students with a demonstrated high level of skills in highland dancing, drumming, fiddling or piping. Audition and scholarship information can be found here.

Pre-Health Professions Workshops

Are you interested in a pre-health profession? Join us virtually for an inside look at what Alma’s pre-health professional programs look like.

Part 1 - February 2nd 

  • Hear from a panel of faculty members on the Pre-Health Professions Committee
  • Learn about the career prep workshops offered for Alma College students
  • Ask questions about student organizations and opportunities from current Pre-Health students

Part 2 - February 17th 

  • Virtually tour the Biology, Chemistry, and IPHS labs at Alma College
  • View faculty demonstrations from each department
  • Learn about research projects conducted by current students

Attendance at Part 1 and 2 is recommended but not required. Recordings of each session will be made available after each event.

Scholars Summit

This interview competition enables invited students to qualify for an additional scholarship of up to $4,000. You will participate in interviews  and meet faculty and other students. Scholars Summit is by invitation only. Learn more.

Congratulations on making your commitment and deposit to Alma College! First year Scots will get set up for a successful first semester at Alma. You will meet with faculty to discuss your program of interest, meet other first-year students, get your student ID, and more to help your first days at Alma be as smooth as possible. Learn more.
