You’re invited to attend our Posey Global Leadership Dinner. This event will showcase Alma College students who have taken advantage of our Posey Global (also known as P Global) Scholarship, which funds student internships, research, and international travel. STEM Open House 

Investigate, analyze and explore! At this open house, you’ll learn about opportunities to study and gain real world experience in STEM. Hear from alumni in the field, tour campus and labs, and meet faculty and students in STEM subjects like psychology, physics, engineering, nursing, environmental studies, math, computer science, biology, chemistry and integrative health studies. You can also take advantage of on-site admissions at this event.

Junior Day 

As a high school junior, you and your family or supporters are invited to visit Alma College! You’ll learn about:

  • majors, minors and concentrations
  • student life at Alma
  • performing arts, athletics, student organizations and more
  • the importance of community engagement
  • the admissions and financial aid process
  • …and ALL the ways you will learn, both in and outside of the classroom!

You will also enjoy lunch and a tour of campus. We can’t wait to meet you!

Dive Deeper

Model UN Day

Develop your leadership and teamwork skills while exploring international issues. While on campus, you will also have the chance to hear from the director and current students of the Model United Nations team and share in conversation about their experiences with the Model UN program. Space is limited.

Arts at Alma 

Join our performing and fine arts staff and enjoy a day filled with workshops, a question and answer panel, an admissions overview, auditions (optional), and a campus tour. 

Alma College awards Scottish Arts Scholarships to students with a demonstrated high level of skills in highland dancing, drumming, fiddling or piping. Read about auditions and performing arts scholarships.

Scholars Summit

This interview competition enables invited students to qualify for an additional scholarship of up to $4,000. You will participate in interviews and meet faculty and other students. Scholars Summit is by invitation only; if you have questions, please contact your admissions representative

Tartan Day

If you’re an admitted student looking to decide if Alma is the perfect fit, we designed Tartan Day with you in mind. At Tartan Day, you can:

  • Explore student organizations and campus resources
  • Interact with current students
  • Connect with professors from various academic departments
  • Have your financial aid questions answered
  • Take a second look around campus

Becoming a Scot Day

Congratulations on making your commitment and deposit to Alma College! First year Scots will get set up for a successful first semester at Alma. You will meet with faculty to discuss your program of interest, meet other first-year students, get your student ID, and more to help your first days at Alma be as smooth as possible. Learn more.

MFA in Creative Writing
The Alma College Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing offers students the opportunity to enter an artistic community within Alma College. Learn more about the program and upcoming events.

Transfer Virtual Helpdesk 

Need quick answers about transferring to Alma? Stop into our virtual helpdesk during designated days and times to speak with an admissions counselor. There may be other students in the meeting, but that’s a great way to begin making connections and get answers to questions you may not have even thought about yet. Transfer Information Session

During this virtual session, you will learn about the admissions process, transferring your credits to Alma, transfer scholarships, financial aid, and much more. These sessions are available on a variety of dates.

*Students interested in participating in the performing arts are able to schedule an audition on this day. Performance Scholarships are available to talented students in art, dance, music (both vocal and instrumental), theatre and Scottish Arts. To schedule your audition, please select your interest in auditioning for a performing arts scholarship when you fill out the registration form.
