Alumni sharing their paths to success. Recruiters who want what you have to offer. Connections to make, opportunities to pursue, and a bunch of people who care about your success, all in one place. Do you need any more reasons to attend Career EXPLO?
Career EXPLO takes place on Friday, September 28, 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Art Smith Arena
The Center for Student Opportunity is excited to host the 9th Annual Career EXPLO as a kick-off to the Homecoming festivities! This event connects our successful alumni and other professionals with students and young alumni who are exploring their career options.
Students and young alumni are encouraged to dress professionally and bring 10-15 copies of their resume. Need help with your resume? See our workshop schedule or make an appointment with the peer consultants, who are available Monday-Thursday from 5-8 p.m. in the CSO. We also offer free professional headshots at EXPLO.
Who should participate: Current Alma College students and recent Alma alumni from all majors. Employers, including alumni of Alma College, and graduate school representatives who would like to share information on their career path, company/organization or industry or open job and internship position with current students and recent alumni.
What’s involved: The event is set up like a career fair. Employers and graduate schools are stationed at tables for students and alumni to visit. We ask that employers are prepared speak with students to:
- Provide them with information about career paths
- Give advice to those pursuing careers in your area of expertise
- Share background information about organizations for which you have worked
- Discuss graduate program options and your experience
- Communicate pointers about trends and best practice in your career field
