We approach sociology as a study of humankind—examining how history, psychology and economics interplay to affect the social lives and behaviors of human beings.
Our faculty have particular interests in aging, work, gender, women’s health, family, complex organizations and sociological methods. They encourage students to get involved in service, including service learning as part of the curriculum in sociology courses.
