As a dance major or minor, you have the opportunity to participate in extraordinary opportunities at Alma.
Dance Department Performance
This course involves students that perform three major concerts each year as well as lecture-demonstrations and smaller shows. Students earn college credit for participation in the company.
The Kiltie Dancers
This lively co-ed dance group brings Alma’s Scottish heritage to life and offers instruction in Highland dance at beginner and advanced levels.
We have two types of scholarships available to all of our dancers. The first is a dance performance scholarship that is $1,500 and renewable each year. The second is our Distinguished dance scholarship that is $2,000 and up, and renewable each year. To be considered, you’ll need to apply for admission to Alma and arrange an audition. You must be accepted to Alma College before you can apply for a scholarship. If you have questions, contact our Admissions Office at 1-800-321-ALMA.
