Welcome to the Wilcox Medical Center!
The goal of our Medical Center staff is to provide a variety of health related services to the campus community, in a clinic setting. Our staff welcomes the opportunity to consult with students wishing to take personal responsibility for their own health and wellness or seeking information for classes and presentations.
We employ a full-time registered nurse and a full-time physician's assistant, and also have a doctor on staff.
Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. ad 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Call (989) 463-7181 to make an appointment. We offer a variety of services to the campus community, including the following:
Medical Care
Emergency and urgent care is offered for students, faculty, staff, and Sodexho Employees on campus.

Routine Medical Care Provided to Students
- Minor lesion excision
- Evaluate and treat acute and chronic complaints
- Provide medications as needed
- Monitor and reevaluate complaints as needed
- Provide counseling and teaching of disease processes
- Provide birth control counseling, physicals, and medications as needed
- History and physicals for sports, overseas travelers, job interviews, summer employments and new employees.
Chronic Medical Monitoring Provided for Students, Faculty, and Staff
- Blood pressure and sugar levels
- Follow up on resolving routine medical problems that interfere with workrelated activities

- Maintain up to date medical records
- First Aid boxes and supplies for resident halls and staff offices
- Disposal of biohazard tissue on campus

- Monitor on campus disease
Physical Therapy
- Provide information and instruction on exercises for rehabilitation of the various injuries
- Provide crutches, wheel chairs, splints,and casting
- (Crutches and wheel chairs are also loaned to various departments for use by visitors)
