Zeta Sigma Celebrates 120 Years at Alma College

The brothers of the Zeta Sigma Fraternity have ended their 120th anniversary celebrations at Alma College. Founded in the fall of 1887, the Zeta Sigma Fraternity is the oldest fraternity on the Alma College campus. Zeta Sigma serves as a local fraternity, found nowhere else except for at Alma College. The brothers celebrated the 120th Anniversary this past academic year in several ways, which included making several house improvements, noticeable increases of membership, and stronger community relationships. The brothers thank the Alma College community and the community at large for their support over the years, and look forward to the next 120 years.

“The Zeta Sigma Fraternity this past year has gone to new heights, and continues to remain a very respectable organization on the Alma College campus. Zeta Sigma has made a positive impact on my college experience, and better prepared me for life outside of Alma College.”
Mark Kraft / VP Zeta Sigma '07–'08

Alma’s close faculty-student interaction provides numerous benefits such as the ability to do undergraduate research on a graduate level. Alma’s professors treat students more as peers welcoming student input and collaboration on faculty projects. When students are involved in research, faculty aggressively pursue publication of findings including students as co-authors.
