Visit Campus

How do you know you want to spend four years at a college unless you’ve visited campus? We’re absolutely delighted to welcome you to Alma’s beautiful campus and are committed to making your visit the right fit for you – after all, a college visit is a good indication of what life is really like on campus!

Incoming freshmen: Register for Becoming a Scot Day, our summer orientation program!  Our remaining date is Friday, July 18. The event begins at 9:30 am under the tent in front of the Chapel, and will conclude by 4:30 pm.

Individual Visits

If you’re narrowing your college search down or want a really personalized schedule, we invite you to visit campus almost any Monday through Friday. Most Individual Visits include meeting with an admissions representative, taking a tour of campus and enjoying a meal on us. You can also elect to meet with a faculty member or a coach, sit in on a class, attend a campus event or even stay over night with one of our student hosts.  Click here to request your Individual Visit.

Campus Close-Ups

This is a great option for first-time visitors or those just beginning their college search! At Campus Close-Ups, you’ll attend a Saturday morning presentation with a small group of your potential future classmates and learn about Alma’s academic programs, student life, admissions and financial aid processes and other aspects of the Alma College experience. After the presentation, you’ll join current Alma students on a tour of campus and sample our food at a complimentary lunch in one of our dining halls. You can plan to be on campus from 10 am to 2 pm on the day of your visit.  Click here to see available dates and register online, or call 1-800-321-ALMA.

Out-of-State & UP Visitors:
We know that many of you are traveling a considerable distance to visit campus.  Your time and interest is greatly appreciated.  To that end, we will take care of lodging and food for you and your family.  In addition, we will provide you with $50 for your travel expenses.*

*Lodging is subject to availability and limited to one campus visit for a maximum of a two night stay.

Alma’s close faculty-student interaction provides numerous benefits such as the ability to do undergraduate research on a graduate level. Alma’s professors treat students more as peers welcoming student input and collaboration on faculty projects. When students are involved in research, faculty aggressively pursue publication of findings including students as co-authors.
