South Campus

Your Second Year and Beyond

Students enjoy a quiet evening in their Wright Hall apartment

Looking for a little more independence, privacy and—dare we say—quiet? South Campus is the place for you.

Residence halls on South Campus, including Bonbright/Carey and Nisbet/Brazell, offer students suite-style living options on the south side of Superior Street.

Greek housing is also located on South Campus, with 10 sorority and fraternity houses found in various locations throughout the south end.

Most of the residences on South Campus are within a short walk of academic buildings on the North Campus, and rooms are reserved for upperclassmen.

The Alma College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team has won 11 consecutive regional championships. The competition awards the SIFE teams that are most effective in teaching the principles of market economics through outreach projects in their communities. Last year’s team presented 12 projects, including teaching ethics and entrepreneurship skills to students at a juvenile detention center and launching an entrepreneurship competition for students with business ideas.

We like to joke that the average Alma College student is involved in a dozen organizations and activities, but Tanis Rozeveld ’14 proves that leadership is no laughing matter.
