North Campus

First-year Student Housing

Students decorate their residence hall rooms to reflect their personalities and tastes

What do towers, ghosts, and big screen TVs have in common? You can find all of them in some of the exciting residence halls on North Campus!

North Campus has a hall that meets each student’s personal needs. All first-year students live in North Campus residence halls, and upperclassmen return to Bruske, Mitchell, Newberry and Gelston because of each building’s special qualities.

Bruske offers students a sense of tranquility as it is nestled in the northwest corner of campus, right near Mitchell. For students who enjoy louder atmospheres, Newberry or Gelston may be better choices, as they are located close to the middle of campus.

Offices and honoraries are located within the residence halls, bringing students from all over campus to the halls on the north side. Students spend a great deal of their time on North Campus, making it a wonderful and exciting place to live at Alma College.

The Alma College softball team has qualified for the NCAA Tournament 17 times in the last 19 years—a dynasty that ranks among the best in NCAA Division III athletics. The Scots boast a 735-254 overall record during head coach Denny Griffin’s 24-year tenure at Alma.
