Why I got involved in Chapel: Being involved in Chapel at Alma gives me an opportunity to have a church family at my new home away from home.

Why I applied to be a SMC: I applied to become a SMC so that I could use my technology and visual technology talents to help support Chapel life at Alma College.

What I like most about being a SMC/involved in Chapel: My favorite part about being a SMC and being involved in chapel is the fellowship with other students.

The biggest thing I’ve learned so far being an SMC: The largest thing that I’ve learned from being a SMC so far is that there is so much that you can learn from your fellow friends and chapel go-ers.

Why I recommend other students get involved in Chapel: I recommend getting involved with Chapel because being involved in chapel can give you a whole new family that will never leave your side for 4 years, and you get to worship God in the process.

Hobbies and activities: I own a personal photography company and enjoy taking photos and shooting videos as well as watching movies as a pastime. I also enjoy hanging out with the important people in my life.

Spring Term at Alma is a one-month immersion on a single academic topic that offers learning experiences not typically available during the more traditional 15-week fall and winter terms. For example, during Spring Term 2012, students observed lizards in Bermuda, studied modern economic development in India, performed dance in Taiwan, examined renewable energy in Europe and investigated medicinal plants in the Amazon rainforest.
