Presbyterian Scholarships



The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) offers a variety of scholarship opportunities for its members.

Beall Scholarship – Highly Restricted Funding
For female Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) college students in the arts. Must be from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia.

Children of Missionaries
For undergraduate and graduate students whose parents are serving as Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) missionaries.

National Presbyterian College Scholarship
For students preparing to enter as full-time incoming freshmen in one of the participating colleges related to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Native American Education Grant
For Native American and Alaskan natives pursuing full-time post-secondary education.

Student Opportunity Scholarship
For undergraduate students in their junior and senior year of college. Preference given to racial ethnic students.

Samuel Robinson Award
For undergraduate junior and senior students enrolled full-time in one of the colleges/universities related to the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Synod of the Covenant Racial Ethnic Scholarship
For minority students who are members of a PC(USA) congregation to assist in educational expenses.

Undergraduate/graduate loan programs
For undergraduate and graduate students attending a college/university interested in receiving a loan with no interest accruing while the student is enrolled full-time in a degree program.    

 

Alma College ranks second in the nation in the percentage of students who participate in alternative break service trips, according to Break Away, the national organization that supports the development of alternative break experiences that inspire lifelong active citizenship. Last year, Alma students provided flood relief, built affordable homes, planned activities for terminally ill children, constructed wheelchair ramps, worked with immigrants, and assisted in after-school programs.

Randy S. U’Ren, O.D. knew he wanted to go into health care. He was attracted to Alma for its focus on individual attention and high rate of placement into professional school.
