Each residence hall is staffed with a professional, post-graduate hall director who supervises the residence facility. The hall director resides in the hall, is available for advice and counseling, is responsible for the supervision of resident assistants, handles disciplinary matters, and coordinates the maintenance of the facility. Promoting an atmosphere conducive to rigorous academic endeavor, stimulating social interaction and promoting open inquiry of one’s values and beliefs are the ultimate goals of hall directors.
Resident assistants (RAs) are selected student staff members who serve in each residence hall. RAs work and live directly with hall residents. They initiate a variety of programs and activities, promote cooperative and harmonious living, and deal with a variety of concerns.
