Personal Training

Alma College’s Stone Recreation Center offers an array of instructed training programs! Our trainers design safe, customized fitness programs that will help you attain your personal goals. You can expect our trainers to educate, motivate and maximize your workout experience with the proper goals and accountability. You have the option to work one-on-one with a trainer, with a friend, or even in a small group! Whether your goal is to lose weight, build lean muscle, train for a specific event or just feel better, our trainers offer a range of options to help you be successful.

Fitness Classes (Spring 2016)

Power Lunch

Power Lunch will not take place in the Spring or Summer. 

Struggling to find time to workout? Do it on your lunch hour! Beth Pellerito will be teaching a class designed for you to get a full body workout. This will be appropriate for all fitness levels, this class employs a combination of timed stations (circuits) and instructor-led movements. Expect positive motivation, lots of variety and a sweaty good time! 

Zumba

Zumba will not take place in the Spring or Summer. 

Forget the workout, just lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape at the original dance-fitness party. Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before you know it, you’ll be getting fit and your energy levels will be soaring! It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating. Our Zumba classes are led by Tincy Goggin. Come in and give it a shot! 

Yoga/Pilates

Monday - 12:20pm to 1:05pm 

Yoga/Pilates is another fun class that will help you burn even more calories. These classes require students to hold complex poses, offering an intense workout. Classes like this will teach you how to perfect a plank pose and other mind/body postures provide significant health and fitness benefits beyond a high-calorie burn. 

Pickleball 

Monday: 9am to 11am (Beginners Class)

Tuesday & Thursday: 9am to 11am 

Wednesday: 6:00pm to 8:00pm 

Sunday: 1:30pm to 3:30pm

A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
