More Details:

This is a class about the intersections between reading, writing, and research. More precisely, it is a course about how research can inform the way we read and write. Whether you are an English major or minor, a Writing minor, or a Language Arts minor, learning how to find, assess, and incorporate research into your writing is a core skill. This course focuses on exploring the different creative and critical modes of writing used in the major and beyond. Over the semester, we will explore advanced research methods and advanced issues in researched writing, including the stylistic and analytical skills necessary to elegant researched writing.

Cathy Millon
Graduation: 2009
Major: Sociology

If Cathy Millon ’09 were a superhero, her power would be activism.

The Alma College alumna is an AmeriCorps*VISTA worker with the Girl Scouts of America in Colorado. She builds partnerships in the community, recruits volunteers and writes curricula for programs and events while interacting with young women.
