Steering Committee for DaDITPIM
Member of the steering committee for the newly developed Deans and Directors of Independent Teacher Preparation Institutions of Michigan. Developed mission statement, goals, and organizational structure and researched other related and relevant institutions and organizations involved in Michigan educational policy.
Alma College students have the ability to design their own area of academic concentration—with the assistance of a faculty advisor—to meet specific educational or career goals. In recent years, students have graduated with Programs of Emphasis majors in such fields as arts management, archaeology and anthropology, environmental policy and community advocacy, Foreign Service and international law, and music technology and digital media.
Ronald Kapp
Ron Kapp taught more than 2,500 students during his 32 years at Alma College. Teaching was more than just a job for him, though. He took a genuine interest in impacting and shaping the lives of the students he taught. He helped enhance Alma's reputation through measures such as the Africa Fellowship Program and installing Phi Beta Kappa at the College.
