The Alma College Percussion Ensemble was invited to perform at the 50th Annual Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival. The ensemble and individual soloists received many awards for their performance.
Bob Devaney, a 1939 graduate of Alma College, went on to become known as one of the greatest coaches in collegiate football history. In his 11 years as head coach at Nebraska, Devaney produced 11 winning seasons with two national championships. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1981. At Alma he played end and was the Scots’ Most Valuable Player in 1938.

For some undergraduates, picking just one area to study is like painting a rainbow with one color. St. Johns junior Joshua Gove wants more than a monochromatic education.
Alma College’s liberal arts education allows him to major in art and design while also studying Spanish, which is his minor. He discovered his passion for these fields while still in high school.
