More Details:

Every year on the first full weekend in June, tens of thousands of art enthusiasts converge on the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, adjacent to the University of Chicago campus, for the 57th Street Art Fair. The Fair has been going strong since 1948, providing artists from throughout the country the opportunity to exhibit their original work in a unique outdoor setting and giving collectors a chance to buy directly from the artists. Although most exhibitors are returning artists, each year the Fair invites a limited number of new artists whose work has been selected by a jury of art professionals.
