An UL independent study in literature for two students with superior French skills. 4-cr; meets 3 times/ week;lecture/discussion.

 

Thirty-four percent of Alma students participate in intercollegiate athletics. Alma College competes at the NCAA Division III level as a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the oldest existing athletic conference in the nation. Alma offers 22 varsity sports—11 for the women and 11 for the men—including four sports that debuted in 2011–12: women’s lacrosse and bowling and men’s lacrosse and wrestling.

Whether you call him a baseball-playing history buff or a history-loving baseball player, one thing is clear: Neil Youngdahl is able to pursue both of his passions at Alma College.

“History is a subject that has interested me since elementary school, so I decided I wanted to keep studying it in college,” he says. “It can be tough to balance sports and academics, but it forces you to learn how to manage your time and prioritize to get things done.”
