T-Duality in String Theory
Work by rising sophomore Alex Lundquist as part of the PRISM program (presented on campus). Alex learned the basic concepts of string theory (and many underlying physical concepts) and the syntax of the Mathematica computer algebra system, and then applied that knowledge to develop a set of Methematica functions for finding T-dual background geometries in string theory.
