Overview of the impact of computers and technology in the music professions. Topics include design of recording studio and lab environments, MIDI technology, fundamentals of audio technology, multimedia applications and using sound/music on the Web.
Alma College students have the ability to design their own area of academic concentration—with the assistance of a faculty advisor—to meet specific educational or career goals. In recent years, students have graduated with Programs of Emphasis majors in such fields as arts management, archaeology and anthropology, environmental policy and community advocacy, Foreign Service and international law, and music technology and digital media.

Brent Moeggenborg grew up in Alma and didn’t realize that everything he wanted in a college was right here.
“The pre-med and pre-dental programs are excellent and have a stellar track record for acceptance into graduate programs,” the 2000 graduate says.
