Planning a Great Start for Children: A Community Conversation
Early Childhood professionals from Gratiot and Isabella counties collaborated to develop a unified approach for supporting children 0-6 in both counties.
Wright Hall, Alma’s “green” residence hall, is a modern, 60-bed apartment-style hall that features a number of environmentally friendly features, including geothermal heating and cooling, recycled-content ceiling tiles and carpeting, energy-efficient windows, rooftop solar heating panels, energy-efficient showers and washing machines, and a computerized energy monitoring system.

A bit of serendipity helped guide Farmington Hills junior Isabelle Moore to Alma College.
“My mom and I were coming home from a tour at another school, and we stumbled upon Alma College,” she says. “We had never heard of it, so we explored for a bit. When I got home, I researched Alma some more and found that it had all the qualities I wanted in a college.”
