More Details:

This exhibition, curated by Sandy Lopez-Isnardi, considers the landscape from various perspectives based on gender, heritage, and mediums. Each one of us oftens chooses the landscape as our subject matter, using different media to give voice to our ideas. The common thread is we all sense that the landscape beckons us to refect, silence our souls and simply be, a rare state of being in today's social environment. Our images are all inspired by this experience of quiet that the landscape so generously provides. Rober Rozier is an associate professor of painting, printmaking and drawing at Alma College. His work has been exhibited regionally and nationally. Sandra Lopez-Isnardi, also an associate professor teaches, photography, digital art, and graphic design at Alma College. Her work has been published, exhibited natioanlly and internationally. Michael Volker is an assistant professor of painting and printmaking at the University of Central Michigan and has often been a guest leturer at Alma College. He has a strong regional and national exhibition record.

Frank Knox’s accomplishments are extraordinary: From fighting alongside Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders and publishing the Chicago Daily News vice presidential candidate in 1936 to Secretary of the Navy under Franklin D. Roosevelt. Through it all, the 1912 graduate stayed true to his Alma College roots. His portrait adorns the conference room in the Reid-Knox Administration Building.
