Dr.Keith J. Wise

Dr. Keith J. Wise is a native of Steubenville, Ohio. He is an ordained minister with the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ. He holds an A.B. degree from Kentucky Christian University,(1972) an MA Degree is history from Youngstown State University, (1976) and a PhD from American University in Washington, D.C.(1997)
Dr. Wise has held ministries in Ohio, Kentucky and presently in Michgan. He has taught at Wilberforce University, Ohio University and has been a member of the National Association of Pastors and Scholars since 1979. He has served on the Board of Trustees for Kentucky Christian University (1995-2002) and the Board of Trustees of Great Lakes Christian College (2002-2005). Dr. Wise is also cross-culturally trained having lectured and taught in the Dominican Republic and India. He has published in The Christian Standard, Christianity Today and The Restoration Herald.
Along with his wife Sharon they have three adult children. Sharon is Kindergarden Teacher in the St. Louis Public Schools and holds a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Central Michigan University.

Students conducting research side-by-side with faculty has been an Alma College legacy for generations. Alma students team up with faculty on scholarly research or to collaborate on creative or performing arts projects. An annual Honors Day features student presentations, performances and exhibits. Many students present such work at regional, national and international meetings.

Laura Wasek began attending the University of Michigan for her master’s degree in public health while they were celebrating the 50th anniversary of the polio vaccine.

Her time at Alma College made her realize that her public health minor could allow her to be a part of a similar discovery.
