During the early years of my career as an economist I focused on issues of economic restructuring, growth, and development in policy making positions with state governments in Indiana and Minnesota. These interests continued through my years as a senior research fellow and chief domestic economist with the Hudson Institute, a Washington based public policy research organization. In the early 1990s I returned to the academic sector, working in executive positions and teaching at Marian College (Indianapolis) and Alma College. I continue to pursue my interest in public policy issues through consulting.
