Research Interests

Geomorphology, fate and transport of contaminants in fluvial systems, environmental policy, science education and development of community-based research at the undergraduate level

 

Since 2010, Alma College has added new majors in anthropology, new media studies, biotechnology, health care administration and environmental studies. The College also has completed several campus enhancements, including the Hogan Center, Art Smith Arena, Eddy Music Center and College Corner Coffee and Books.

St. Joseph junior Ryan Zavacky is a culture buff who is creating a worldly undergraduate experience for himself through his double major in religious studies and political science.

“I love learning about a country’s culture,” he says. “I knew that by studying religion, I could learn about a specific aspect of culture that relates to culture as a whole, often in connection with politics.”
