Financial Resources

As we strive to make an Alma College education accessible, qualified students can expect generous merit scholarships. They also have the chance to apply for interest-specific awards and need-based aid that is consistent with their financial situation. A list of merit-based awards as well as other scholarships is available here.

Students are employed in a wide variety of positions
on campus.

Students also can benefit both financially and personally from employment during their college career. While a wide variety of campus offices hire student workers, off-campus jobs in the local community also often are available.

In addition, students and their families may want to explore federal student loan options. All need-based aid (College, state and federal) is granted based on the family’s financial situation as depicted through the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Colleges of Distinction, a national college guide for students, parents and counselors, identifies Alma College as "one of the best places to learn, grow and succeed." The Colleges of Distinction publication recognizes institutions for their commitment to engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes.
