How can I get involved?

Getting involved as an Alma College parent is not only encouraged—it’s easy! There are many ways to stay connected to campus, and as a result, stay connected to your son or daughter.

We recommend becoming active on the Parent Board. It’s a great way to interact with other parents who share your questions and concerns about this new journey. You also can find answers by checking out our FAQs.

In addition, we hope to see your face on campus often, but if you’re unable to visit, sport an Alma T-shirt or other gear from our bookstore to proudly represent your student. It’s the closest thing to being at Alma!

Alma College trustees have adopted a master plan that provides a direction and set of priorities for the development of the physical campus. Key components include an emphasis on advanced and interactive learning, prioritized building renovations, housing initiatives that accommodate enrollment growth, a reconfiguration of parking lots and green spaces, and campus growth plans linked to the Alma downtown business environment.

Learning another language is valuable in itself, but experiences abroad can bring words and meanings to life. Alma College alumna Kelly O’Connor Dachtler was drawn to studying German because of her experiences studying aboard.

“I was able to study for a semester in Germany as part of my double major,” she says. “In addition to developing my language skills in a tremendous way, the cultural immersion opened my eyes to the world.”
