Colleges Against Cancer

Colleges Against Cancer is a student led organization at Alma College that spreads awareness about cancer across campus and raises money for the American Cancer Society. Every month a cancer awareness activity is planned. In March the annual Relay For Life is held at the Stone Recreation Center.

Students Relay for Cancer Cure, Awareness

Every year across the country Relay for Life events are held to raise money for cancer research. Alma College hosts it’s own Relay for Life with the aid of the student organization, Colleges Against Cancer, which also hosts other cancer awareness events throughout the school year.

“Anyone can be involved in Relay,” says Rochester senior Danielle Harm, Relay for Life chair. “Students can sign up, but you can also have your friends and family from out of town register online and fundraise as well.”

Alma College’s Relay for Life will be held at the Stone Recreation Center from 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, until 2 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016.
