Fraternities

Alma College has six social fraternities: five nationally affiliated chapters and one local chapter.

Phi Mu Alpha

Sigma Alpha Epsilon

Sigma Chi

Tau Kappa Epsilon

Theta Chi

Zeta Sigma

All but one fraternity has a small housing unit that chapter members live in during the academic year. These houses are open to all chapter members and guests. Tau Kappa Epsilon’s new house is scheduled to be open in Fall 2014.

Individual chapter membership ranges from 15-45 members. In all, we currently have 161 active members.

Chapter members are involved in various activities and organizations on campus ranging from being an RA to being involved in math club to being on the wrestling or tennis team. Being Greek doesn’t just mean being a chapter member. Being Greek means being a leader on campus.

Each of our fraternities is involved with numerous different philanthropy events. From working with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gratiot County, helping with the Community Café and volunteering for Alma College Alternative Break trips, our fraternities make a difference in the community.

Members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Alpha Xi Delta work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Gratiot County to sponsor a trick-or-treating and pumpkin painting event at Alma College.
