Cirque le Jazz Features High-flying Acrobatics
Circus arts, musical theatre and old-time vaudeville come together for a Broadway-style show “under the Big Top” at Alma College.
2 Ring Circus Productions presents Cirque le Jazz at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 in the Remick Heritage Center. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors 62 and up, and free for Alma College staff, students and youth 18 and under. Seating is reserved. Call (989) 463-7304 for ticket information.
The company of four accomplished artists takes to the stage — and to the air — for a family-friendly performance that will include aerial artistry, Broadway-style dance, traditional circus arts, Big Band anthems, and, of course, acrobatic clowns.

“This will be a new kind of show for the campus and community that will include aerial artists, singing and dancing,” says Mike Sheldon, event coordinator for the Remick Heritage Center. “It will be a high-energy and very colorful show that will be a lot of fun.”
The company includes “Mr. Maxwell Ring, Master of the Circus; Jojo Ring, your friendly acrobatic clown; Miss Corsa, Tamer of Beasts and Queen of the Sky; and Mr. Sasha Zane, dancer extraordinaire.”
“Two of the professional artists are people I’ve worked with in the past, and they are extremely talented and wonderful performers,” says Sheldon. “I’m excited about bringing them to Alma.”
Created in 2012, Cirque le Jazz has performed to sold-out audiences in New York City and has toured nationally and internationally.
