“This year’s concert has a wide variety of styles — from the emotionally connected contemporary to the river-style version of tap to the energetic style of jazz,” says Camden, N.J., junior Devon Brisbon, who is one of three student directors for this year’s show. Also directing are Grosse Ile senior Carolina Cortez-Klemans and Fenton senior Amanda Jackson.
“Those who attend the concert will see students of different dance backgrounds share their talents through their dances,” says Brisbon. “Because the concert is in such an intimate setting, the performance is very easy to connect with.”
This year’s student choreographers include Farmington Hills junior Erica Frasier, Williamston sophomore Samantha Coykendall, Washington sophomore Veronica Alore, Park Ridge, Ill., junior Erin Self, Novi junior Chelsea Radgens, Washington junior Ashley Alore and St. Joseph junior Maggie Donley, as well as Brisbon, Cortez-Klemans and Jackson.
