Project Teaches Math, Science to Preschoolers
An Alma College faculty member has created a community-based research project to help teachers in Head Start preschool programs gain confidence in teaching mathematics and science.

 

The Hogan Center is the first LEED-certified building (Silver level) for green construction at Alma College and in Gratiot County. Awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute LEED is the nation’s preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.

Pennsylvania junior Alejandro Orellana’s education at Alma College has been a lesson in expecting the unexpected.

Though he has known he should major in business since eighth grade, not until this year did he decide to add a new media studies major to the mix. He says his newfound interest in graphic design and technology will be useful for a career in advertising.
