Michigan Tartan Day Stone Finds Permanent Location
When the Scottish American Society of Michigan was presented the official Michigan Tartan Day Stone earlier this summer, the Detroit-based organization had to find a permanent location for it. Why not Alma College?

 

The Hogan Center is the first LEED-certified building (Silver level) for green construction at Alma College and in Gratiot County. Awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute LEED is the nation’s preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.

Dr. Holly Liu
Departments: German

Holly Liu taught at a variety of colleges and universities around the world before coming to Alma College in 2006.

She was internationally educated and is dedicated to teaching German. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Peking University in Beijing, a master’s degree from Texas Tech University and a doctorate from Vanderbilt University. She also studied for two years at the Free University of Berlin.
