Omicron Delta Kappa Inducts New Members
ALMA, Mich. — Seven Alma College students — four juniors and three seniors — have been selected for membership in Omicron Delta Kappa, national leadership honor society. New members were announced April 20 at Alma's 2012 Senior Dinner. Also recognized were nine members of the senior class who were inducted last year as juniors into ODK.
To qualify for membership in Omicron Delta Kappa, students must be juniors or seniors in the top third of their class and participate in a wide variety of campus activities. Founded nationally at Washington and Lee University (VA) in 1914, Alma's chapter was established in 1967.

Senior Simone Boos of Indianapolis, IN, is a 2008 graduate of Cathedral High School. The daughter of Mark and Carly Boos of Indianapolis, IN, she was inducted as a junior into ODK in 2011.
Senior Susan Wright of Alma, MI, is a 1980 graduate of Alma High School. She was inducted as a junior into ODK in 2011.
Senior Vanessa LaRouche of Bay City, MI, is a 2008 graduate of Bay City Western High School. The daughter of Ronald and Marcia LaRouche of Bay City, she was inducted as a junior into ODK in 2011.
Senior Sophia Hrutkay of Brighton, MI, is a 2008 graduate of Harrison High School. The daughter of Tracy Hrutkay of Brighton, she was inducted as a junior into ODK in 2011.
Senior Drew Lindamood of Cadillac, MI, is a 2008 graduate of Cadillac High School. The son of David and Gail Lindamood of Cadillac, he was inducted as a junior into ODK in 2011.
Senior Matthew Deja of Edmore, MI, is a 2008 graduate of Montabella High School. The son of Karen Deja of Edmore, he was inducted as a junior into ODK in 2011.
Junior Zahra Hussain of Fort Gratiot, MI, is a 2009 graduate of Cardinal Mooney Catholic High. She is the daughter of Wasif and Elia Hussain of Fort Gratiot.
Senior Shelby Harris of Greenville, MI, is a 2008 graduate of Greenville High School. The daughter of David and Rebecca Harris of Greenville, she was inducted as a junior into ODK in 2011.
Senior Margaret O'Brien of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, is a 2007 graduate of Grosse Pointe South High School. She is the daughter of Kevin and Ann O'Brien of Grosse Pointe Farms.
Junior Shelby Alexander of Harbor Springs, MI, is a 2009 graduate of Roscommon High School. She is the daughter of Patrick and Madelyn Boyd of Harbor Springs.
Senior Dana Wygmans of Kentwood, MI, is a 2008 graduate of East Kentwood High School. The daughter of Michael and Susan Wygmans of Kentwood, she was inducted as a junior into ODK in 2011.
Junior Malorie Lakosky of Manistique, MI, is a 2009 graduate of Manistique High School. She is the daughter of Monte and Michelle Lakosky of Manistique.
Senior Samantha LaChance of Mt. Pleasant, MI, is a 2008 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. The daughter of Patrick and Jill LaChance of Mt. Pleasant, she was inducted as a junior into ODK in 2011.
Senior Annette Stromberg of North Muskegon, MI, is a 2008 graduate of North Muskegon High School. She is the daughter of Jerry and Maria Brininstool of North Muskegon.
Senior Ryan Nelson of Rochester, MI, is a 2008 graduate of Stoney Creek High School. He is the son of Mark and Aida Nelson of Rochester.
Junior Rachel Burckhardt of Waterford, MI, is a 2009 graduate of Our Lady of the Lakes High School. She is the daughter of Roger and Charlotte Burckhardt of Waterford.
