Seniors Earn Academic, Service, Leadership Awards
Several Alma College seniors received honors for academic, service and leadership achievement during the College's Senior Dinner April 20 in the Hogan Center, Art Smith Arena. In addition, seniors announced the 2012 recipients of the Outstanding Faculty Awards.

Outstanding Senior Leader Award
Raeann Dumka of Fostoria received the 2012 Outstanding Senior Leadership Award. Students are nominated for the award by campus organizations, and a committee selects finalists. The winner is chosen by a vote of the senior class.
The Center for Responsible Leadership sponsors the award. Dumka, a graduate of Mayville High School, is the daughter of Jeff and Vicki Dumka.

Outstanding Senior Awards
Daniel McGee of Bay City, Maria Taylor of Farmington and Jennafer Young of Dundas, MN, received Outstanding Senior Awards, given annually to the graduating seniors with the highest grade point averages.
McGee, a graduate of John Glenn High School, is the son of Paul and Judy McGee. Taylor, a home school graduate, is the daughter of Richard and Martha Taylor. Young, a home school graduate, is the daughter of David and Dijea Young.

Outstanding Commitment to Service Award
Andria Baker of Constantine received the Outstanding Commitment to Service Award. Each year a senior is recognized for demonstrating an active commitment to volunteerism, service learning and community service.
Baker was active in the Explore/Mentor PLUS program, serving as a peer mentor to other students, training College Positive Volunteers, organizing Kid’s Night Out and participating as a summer staff member with the Alma Summer Parks Program. A graduate of Constantine High School, she is the daughter of Timothy and Christine Baker.

Murray Borrello
Faculty Receive Recognition at Honors Day
Alma College seniors recognized Murray Borrello, Bob Cunningham and Sandy Lopez-Isnardi with Outstanding Faculty Awards.
The Outstanding Faculty Awards are chosen by a vote of the senior class, with one recognized in each of the College’s academic divisions.
Borrello, instructor of geology, was the recipient for the natural sciences division.
Cunningham, associate professor of economics, was the recipient for the social sciences division.
Lopez-Isnardi, professor of art and design, was the recipient for the humanities division.

The senior dinner in Art Smith Arena was well attended.
The highland dance cutout was a popular feature.
