Whirled News Tonight Launches Heritage Season
The iO Theatre of Chicago returns to Alma College to open the 2011-12 Remick Heritage Center performance season with Whirled News Tonight, an improvised version of the nightly news, at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.

 

Since 2010, Alma College has added new majors in anthropology, new media studies, biotechnology, health care administration and environmental studies. The College also has completed several campus enhancements, including the Hogan Center, Art Smith Arena, Eddy Music Center and College Corner Coffee and Books.

After Glenn Fischer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international business and French, Europe was his destination. His skills quickly landed him a job in consulting in Germany, where he currently lives.

“At Alma, I learned how to put my own, unique vision on the line and explain that vision to my peers,” he says. “It’s the same in the corporate worlds. You can craft a solution for an existing model, or you can create something entirely unique.”
