College Corner Coffee and Books Opens Its Doors
College Corner Coffee and Books, Alma College’s newest building located on the corner of Superior Street and Wright Avenue, opened its doors to the public on July 1 as the new home of Stucchi’s Ice Cream.

 

In December 2011, Alma College students, faculty and staff designed and hosted a conference in Washington, D.C., on the 500th anniversary of human rights advocacy. Earlier in the year, Alma College became one of the first undergraduate colleges in the United States to belong to the International Criminal Court Student Network, joining Duke University School of Law, The University of Cambridge and other prestigious institutions in a global community that connects students who share an interest in the ICC.

These are the words of Tyler Martinez, a philosophy and economics alumnus, who knew early on that money makes the world go ’round.

“Robert Cunningham put economics into perspective for me,” says Martinez, who graduated in 2008. “Now I find it hard to leave economic terms out of my daily conversations with family and friends.”
