Students Receive Kapp Prize, Carter Center Internship
Carrie Commissaris was announced as the third Ronald O. Kapp Honors Day Prize winner for the natural sciences division. Tonya Currey was selected for an internship in the Carter Center’s conflict resolution program.

 

The Hogan Center is the first LEED-certified building (Silver level) for green construction at Alma College and in Gratiot County. Awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute LEED is the nation’s preeminent program for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.

Almont junior Marissa Sheffield is an elementary education and dance double major who knows a thing or two about coloring outside of the lines.

“I have a wide variety of interests, so I really like doing everything, thus my double major and my double minor,” she says. “I do best when I focus on a lot at once.”
