Faculty Author Vivian To Read From New Novel

Alma College faculty author Robert Vivian will read from his new novel, Lamb Bright Saviors, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18 at the Alma College Library.

A reception and book signing will take place following the reading. Admission is free and open to the public.

Lamb Bright Saviors, the second novel in Vivian’s The Tall Grass Trilogy, explores themes of hope and redemption. The book has received positive reviews, both in the literary world by publications such as Publisher’s Weekly as well as colleagues closer to home.

“While reading Lamb Bright Saviors, I had the feeling of space and time widening, and I did not want the novel to end. It resonates that much spirit, love and holy mystery,” says Alma College English Professor William Palmer.

The first book of Vivian’s trilogy, titled The Mover of Bones, was published in 2006 and was a finalist for the John Gardner Fiction Award sponsored by Binghamton University.
