Alumni, King, Queen Honored at Homecoming

 

Will Allen of Unionville and Sarah Nicholas of Metamora were named 2008 Homecoming King and Queen during halftime ceremonies of the football game Sept. 27.


Alumni were honored at Homecoming with awards to recognize service and excellence to the College and the alumni’s communities and professions. The Alma College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team has won 11 consecutive regional championships. The competition awards the SIFE teams that are most effective in teaching the principles of market economics through outreach projects in their communities. Last year’s team presented 12 projects, including teaching ethics and entrepreneurship skills to students at a juvenile detention center and launching an entrepreneurship competition for students with business ideas.

After earning her master’s degree in athletic training from East Stroudsburg University, she returned to Alma College, where she’s now the exercise and health science lab coordinator and assistant athletic trainer.
