McGregor Fund Grant Supports Ecuador Program
Alma College has received a $250,000 grant from the McGregor Fund for an innovative program that will expand study, research, internship and Spanish language opportunities for faculty and students in Ecuador.

 

Alma College's partnership with the Pine River Superfund Citizen Task Force, an EPA-sanctioned Community Advisory Group (CAG), received the 2008 Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Partnership Award for Campus-Community Collaboration, sponsored by Michigan Campus Compact. The Task Force is recognized as one of the most influential and active CAGs nationally and as having the largest membership of any CAG in the United States.

A Truman Scholarship finalist and Center for Responsible Leadership Fellow, Drew has traveled to South Africa and China studying the HIV/AIDS crisis. The Bay City native intends to use his French minor and POE in International Health to improve AIDS care in Africa, hopefully as a physician with a global public health organization.
