Fellows Attend Leadership Conference in England

Forty-four Alma College students are attending an International Leadership Institute in England that focuses on the importance of global dialogue.

The students, the 2006 class of leadership fellows through Alma’s Center for Responsible Leadership, will visit Wroxton College in Oxfordshire, England, from Aug. 1 through 11. They will participate in discussions and activities focused on European topics, including the European Union, the UK automotive and chemical industries, environmental issues, industrial relations and national politics.

“Global dialogue promotes interaction, the sharing of best practices, and understanding our role and place in the world,” says John Leipzig, director of the Center for Responsible Leadership.  “England is the perfect place for our students because of its longstanding relationship with the United States and its role in the European Union.”
