Relay for Life Raises $32,000

Alma's Third Annual Relay for Life raised more than $32,000 for the American Cancer Society. Individuals and 29 teams of students, faculty, staff and cancer survivors, total 315 participants, spent 24 hours March 24 and 25 in the Stone Recreation Center walking the track, competing in contests and hanging out. In three years, Alma College has raised nearly $100,000 for the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life events.

A Truman Scholarship finalist and Center for Responsible Leadership Fellow, Drew has traveled to South Africa and China studying the HIV/AIDS crisis. The Bay City native intends to use his French minor and POE in International Health to improve AIDS care in Africa, hopefully as a physician with a global public health organization.
