President Tracy Elected Chair of APCU

Dr. Saundra J. Tracy, president of Alma College, was elected chair of the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities (APCU) for 2006-2007 in March at the association's annual meeting.

Tom Williamson, president of Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., is the new vice chair/chair-elect of the APCU. APCU's immediate past chair Tom Mann, president of Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, W.Va., will serve as treasurer in the coming year.

APCU is an independent, not for profit, organization of 61 colleges and universities affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The association exists to promote these institutions and to advocate the mission of higher education in the Reformed tradition, to strengthen the relationship of member colleges with the PCUSA and to be a resource to member college presidents and their staff.

APCU works under a covenant agreement with the General Assembly Council of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
